Chiron, Black Moon Lilith, the Part of Fortune and the Vertex, plus the two ways the lunar nodes are set.
Besides the planets, a chart has points that carry meaning too. Stellog shows Chiron, Black Moon Lilith, the Part of Fortune and the Vertex on report chart wheels and the birth chart.
The four special points
Chiron
A small body orbiting between Saturn and Uranus. It stands for old wounds and the healing strength gained by tending them. It circles the zodiac in about 50 years.
Black Moon Lilith
The point of the Moon's orbit farthest from Earth. It stands for suppressed desires and an untamed side. Stellog uses its average position (Mean Lilith).
Part of Fortune
A point set from the positions of the Sun, Moon and Ascendant. It shows the area where body and mind feel at ease and things go smoothly. For a day birth it's Ascendant + Moon − Sun; for a night birth, Ascendant + Sun − Moon.
Vertex
The point in the west where the great circle running east–west through the birthplace meets the ecliptic. It's seen as pointing to encounters and events that come regardless of your intentions. It needs the birth time and place.
If you don't know your birth time
The Part of Fortune and the Vertex need the Ascendant and the birth time. Without a birth time, these two aren't shown. Chiron and Lilith can be set from the date alone.
Two ways to set the nodes
True Node and Mean Node
Two ways to set the lunar nodes. The True Node is the actual position at that moment; the Mean Node averages out its wobble. Stellog uses the True Node in Western reports and the Mean Node in Vedic astrology.
Stellog's Western astrology reports (such as Node Axis) use the True Node, while Rahu and Ketu in Vedic astrology use the Mean Node. The two usually differ by less than 2°.
